From the first year we were open, STAMD and our student families have always supported Second Harvest Food Bank through a holiday food drive. COVID made things a little challenging, but we are committed to bringing back our holiday tradition of helping this worthy organization. This holiday season, 450,000 people will rely on Second Harvest for food each month, an 80% increase over pre-pandemic levels. With record-high food and gas prices, a housing shortage and the financial devastation caused by the pandemic, the continued support of this incredible community is critical. In years past, we've had bins in the lobby for you to drop off your food donations, but this year, we will be hosting a virtual food drive. Second Harvest no longer distributes bins for food drives, so please visit STAMD's page and make your donation. Here's the link:

Your gift of any size provides a nutritious mix of fresh produce, protein and pantry items so that local families can enjoy a holiday meal together. $1 helps provide enough food for 2 meals. STAMD will match each dollar for dollar up to $2000!
"The food really helps supplement because we did not have enough food for our entire family. I'm looking forward to gathering for Vietnamese celebrations. We gather, we eat together, and we cook and celebrate." –Thi, who first received food from Second Harvest during the pandemic.
Your gift today makes room for hope in families that nutritious food is not something they have to go without. Our virtual food drive began today and will extend through December 31st.
We wish everyone a wonderful Holiday season filled with joy and happiness!
